Sign up for school board meeting next Thursday

One must enter a lottery to speak at the school board meeting, before Tuesday at 7 p.m. The mee=+6 will have a choice between virtual and in-person testimony. You can NOT change this, or substitute other speakers in. There is a waiting list, so if you are unable to make the meeting, the spot will not go to waste. Alternatively, you can register for a "video" which is a separate pool. You then by Wednesday morning must submit testimony that you have pre-recorded on your phone and uploaded to Youtube. You will be told the results of the lottery by 8 p.m. on Tuesday. If you get a video spot the video is due within 10-11 hours, so be ready to go. It really is a much better system than they used to have, giving a wider variety of people the opportunity to speak. Note: if you speak at a meeting, you may not sign up for the next two (but if you are unable to make the meeting for some reason, that does not count against you for your eligibility.
