Happy September! Boy, that Flew By...
September Went by Fast!
Hopefully, everyone has adjusted to new schedules, students, schools, and teachers. That first month of school went by so quick that we didn't get a newsletter out, and so much has happened! Fairfax rallied against terrible school safety issues, school staff were put on weapons duty at Lake Braddock (check out the call to action!), the Daily Signal put out another Fairfax County "Burn Book." In other Virginia education news: ask Governor Spanberger to opt out of Trump's federal Voucher scheme, beware of pink slime journalism in All Virginia News, an anti-trans lawsuit was dismissed, and maybe we should abandon standardized testing. In national news, everyone should be concerned about the devastation at the Office of Civil Rights in the U.S. ED.
